Before your product is made, we’ll send you a digital preview of your personalised artwork for approval, so you can see your Watercolour Hound before it goes into production.

How it works

2. Email us a photograph of your dog, including your order number so we can match it to your purchase.

4. We’ll email you a digital preview for approval.
5. Once approved, your personalised design will be prepared for printing and your product will be made to order.
6. We’ll carefully package your finished Watercolour Hound and send it to you.

Sending your photograph

After ordering, please email your photograph to us and include your order number in the message.

For the best results, choose a photograph that:

• Clearly shows your dog’s face and distinctive markings
• Is reasonably well lit
• Is in focus
• Has not been heavily filtered or edited
• Shows your dog from an angle you are happy for us to work from

Photos taken at or close to your dog’s eye level often work particularly well.

Don’t worry about the background — we are interested in your dog rather than what is behind them.

Created from your dog

Every personalised Watercolour Hound is created individually from the photograph you provide.

We aim to retain the features that make your dog recognisably yours — their colouring, markings, facial features, expression and other distinctive characteristics — while transforming the photograph into the artistic style of our Watercolour Hounds collection.

The finished artwork is an artistic interpretation of your photograph, rather than an exact photographic reproduction.

We’ll send you a digital preview of your personalised artwork before your product is produced.

Once you approve the artwork, it will be sent for production and we may not be able to make further changes.

The personalised price reflects the bespoke artwork creation, proofing and made-to-order production process.

Your photograph

By sending us a photograph, you confirm that you either own the photograph or have permission from the copyright owner for it to be used to create your personalised product.

Please do not submit professional photographs, photographs taken by another person or images obtained online unless you have permission to use and reproduce them.

Your personalised artwork

Your Watercolour Hound artwork is created specifically for your order.

Purchase of a tote bag or cushion cover does not include the high-resolution digital artwork file unless this is specifically stated as part of the product.

You are welcome to photograph, display and share your finished product for your own personal use.

The artwork should not be reproduced commercially, sold as digital artwork, supplied to another manufacturer for printing or used to create other products for sale without prior written permission from Clarke & Hound.

To the extent that intellectual property rights subsist in the bespoke artwork, those rights are retained by Clarke & Hound unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Your privacy

Your photograph will be used only as necessary to create and fulfil your personalised order.

We will not use your photograph or personalised artwork in our advertising, website, social media or other promotional material without asking your permission first.
